I love Mail Order Bride stories and boxed sets. This box set is by Jill Maguire and deals with three women who are on their own and must do something to survive in the West. Hope is headed to Whistle Stop with her father to marry when the train they are on derails. Her father is killed and Hope has amnesia. She is rescued by Luke. Mercy is a lovely lady with a over protective father. She is caught in a fire and suffers scars on her face and body. She fears her father started the fire, so she runs away to Whistle Stop to find la husband. She meets Cole who is a retired outlaw and he shelters her. Charity, has lost her husband to Indians. She is pregnant and has agreed to be a mail order bride. These books are stand alone books, but they tie in with each other very nicely. I could not put the books down.
These three sweet romance stories are wonderful! This is the second collection. The first collection talks about previous characters. Each book could be read alone, but it is fun to be familiar with the characters from the previous books. I will read more by this author.
I loved how the stories of volume 1 (the first 3 books of the series) were intertwined and characters appeared in subsequent books. Even though Hope, the first character of this volume, was introduced in the last volume, she did not interact with the previous characters from the first volume. I found that disappointing as I didn't get to see the continuation of the previous characters' stories that I had come to enjoy. All 3 books in this collection seemed rushed and disconnected. Very disappointing.

Thoroughly enjoyed these books and loved how they all had a connection. Very easy and quick reading. Loved the fact that there was no foul language or sex to make a good story.
They were good short stories. I would have liked to see more trials as most people have in a normal life. I know this was just fiction but it needed to sound more real.
