Well written, good story, but these are NOT books. They are short stories. The only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 is because of the disappointment. The author is good and should develop future endeavors into novels. If you are looking for short stories, these are excellent.
I was enjoying the book so much. Then instead of developing the story it ended. So disappointed. A book should be at least 125 pages. I never buy books under 115 pages. I also only buy .99 books because I read so many.
I loved the idea of a boxed set. It is so much better to just keep on reading. I would definitely recommend reading these stories, and the fact that they are clean and wholesome makes that easier to do. I enjoyed them all, but my favorite was April, and Tyrell's story.
I was disappointed that these stories were so SHORT. Some literally go nowhere. They all end abruptly. Its like reading the first two or three chapters of a book and then nothing but an epilogue to try to tie up the ends. You see only the very beginning and the very end of the story. No middle. I think all of them would have made good books by themselves if the author had developed the characters and allowed their stories to unfold.There are major similarities in all four Novellas that make you feel like you are reading the same thing over again. Characters, scenarios, plots and endings are similar. By the time I got to the fourth story I knew what to expect. I think this author writes well and I would love to read a full length book of hers, but this one was disappointing. This book is like being in first gear and never getting out of first gear.
Although this is a collection of short stories all are good reading. All of the stories are clean and good reading .
Thankfully I have found this wonderful writer. I loved each short story and came away learning a lesson in courage, faith and strength in the human spirit. Highly recommend and look forward to reading more from this gifted writer.
I loved the set of short stories you offered. They were very fast reading. I read them in a few hours one evening and then started one of your captivating....cannot put down.......wonderful novels. I will give this box set 5 star as short stories. Got to run......back to you latest novel that I cannot put down.
I enjoyed reading this set of four Pioneer Women's stories back in the 1800's. When I read stories, I feel as if I'm next to them. Sometimes I wish I was born then as I envy their lives. I will enjoy reading more books by Katie Wyatt.
