I just received this book and was not happy with it. This book is really poorly done. First of all, the photographs of the different babies' faces are just not very good quality. Second, the English font is so big that it makes it seem like a book in English with some Arabic translations, which then makes the fact that it is bound right to left just plain confusing to babies/toddlers. There are no diacritical marks on the Arabic words, which makes it really hard for using the book later to teach how to read the words. I also didn't like their choice of words for some of the expressions-- the English word is an adjective and the Arabic one a noun. I could have easily made a better version of this book myself with its mediocre photography and lack of thought into what makes a book good.
I love this book! I bought this book as a baby shower gift. Each page has a different baby expressing a different emotion along with the Arabic/English word(s). This board book is small but a wonderful way to introduce Arabic to young people. Highly recommended.
Each page has a Face and what it is emotionally. The words are a bit abstract for babies and for this reason it's a bit useless.
The pictures are fabulous and I love that the English-Arabic version opens left to right. We've only had this for a few days and it's already a favorite of my daughter's. Highly, highly recommend.
This book is really cute because it has faces of many different babies with various expressions. The words are written in formal Arabic. It's a really small book, but my baby seems to like it.
