I purchased several Louis L'Amour audio books for a recent road trip with my Dad. He's a big cowboy movie fan, and always enjoyed Louis L'Amour.The short stories on both collections were fun to listen to, and I'll have to say that we each had different "favorites". I think that almost any L'Amour fan would enjoy these four short stories.
The author composed punchy, vivid stories of men (and occasionally women) of the west. The narrators do a great job. We listened to the recordings while traveling long empty stretches of the California desert, a great backdrop, and time (and the miles) flew by.
We love these stories, they sure make taking a long trip seem shorter. We listen to them as we are driving, it keeps us awake, interested, and make the miles go by faster.
I got this book on DVD for my Grandfather for Christmas and he absolutely loved it. If you have anyone in your family that has trouble turning pages, eyesight, or is sick in the hospital books on CD are the way to go.
