James Drury (The Virginian) is the perfect narrator for this story. It makes the story come alive and makes you feel as if your sitting around the campfire experiencing it live. This was my first book to listen to by audio (only bought it because James Drury was narrating) and I know I will be listening to it over and over. Wonderful story.
To be authored by Zane Grey, this story was not too exciting. It tells the slow story of a man tracking a wolf. It ambles on and on, quite blandly at times, but with some exciting scenes. Overall I felt let down by the story content. Zane Grey usually keeps up a good pace, keeps you wanting more. I didn't feel that this time. The real saving grace in this audio-book is that was read by James (The Virginian) Drury. That was the real treat! It was an okay offering by Zane Grey. If you love Zane Grey (and I do), you'll like this story.
My husband and I carpool to work and I often read to him from actual books. I will be retiring soon and My husband will mis the readings so I thought I'd try audio books to help. I think he will love it! Thanks!
