I got this for someone who is not a Christian to try to help them in this area of their life. I have not listened to this, but he has been telling me about what he is learning on it and he has a hard time with a couple of aspects of it. 1) The guys telling their stories are extremely descriptive about female attributes & stuff that it ends up being a "turn on" just to listen to. 2) There are some things in here that are not 100% biblical and end up being a little more of some one's opinion of what you should do. I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it needs to be clearly stated as such and not masked as "God's direction" for us. This kind of stuff makes it even more difficult to lead someone to Christ when personal ideas are mixed in with God's word and it becomes so "legalistic" that the person is turned away from wanting to follow the path of Christ.Overall, he is getting some good basic things to think on and that makes it worth it. I think if someone already is a Christian and is earnestly seeking something to help them in this area of their life (ie. They want to make a change AND they want to do it God's way) then this will be pretty helpful. Of course, they still have to endure the tantalizing stories which seems counterproductive to me!
Yep every man does battle with this and the authors give insightful suggestions on how to deal with lust. A must for the lust driven world we live in - great for couple who want to come clean with the deep rooted sin of lust - also suggest Every Women's battle for the men to listen to also, very insightful. For the brave at heart listen to both of them as a couple.
The authors have wrote a very useful and Christian based book on how they battled with sexual temptation and how every other man has his own battles and how to overcome them using God's truth has the foundation. And the audiobook is a great way to listen on the go!
As a therapist, I use this book to help those struggling with sexual sin. I like that it is faith based. It really helps men increase understanding and awareness of behaviors. Price was great!
Informative, get to hear other people's stories, gives you tools to deal with the issues, offers support and guidance. It is a must for every man whether your religous beliefs and practices are active or not. You don't have to follow or believe the exact same things they talk about in terms of religon to get use out of this.
This was a very informative book and I believe it would be very helpful to men who are struggling with sexual problems in their marriage.
This book is wonderful. It will help every man with the battle he faces. A help hi grow into the man God has planned for him to be.
I think that for the person struggling with this issue their lives will be enriched. The mental imagery can be identified with by most every man who reads this book. I don't think that hiding it by not mentioning it doesn't make it go away. I also think that the book was thoughtfully written. Don't be fooled into thinking that some things are taboo and should only be discussed in quiet little rooms. It is good to get things out into the open, especially for the proclaimed Christian out there. This book only brings to light the struggles that men face day to day. This perversion has to be tackled head on and dealt with.D
