Leslie P always knows just how to make my son smile. This book is so cute and encourages you to tickle and play as a family. We love it!
My 18 month old daughter LOVES this book! I first got it at the library and she loved it so much, I just bought it for her. She reads it every day. I like that the story is something you can DO with your child while you read. The pictures are bright and full of emotion. It arrived in beautiful condition! TOP NOTCH BOOK!
I have most of the Patricelli books for my daughter. These were some of the first I read to her. She would start saying some of the simple words after a few weeks such as "Toot, Tubby, Big, Yes" (referencing other books here) The pictures are easy for her to understand and over 1.5 years later she still wants to read them.I will say some of the images suggest bad things (like coloring on walls) which she did and said the book told her it was ok.
I love this book, as do the toddlers I share it with. Her graphics are so simple, but expressive. If you ham it up as you read aloud, or use your own words, the kids love it! I've now bought several of her books.
Leslie Patricelli books are amazing! My 1 year old loves this book. The simple backgrounds make the characters stick out, and she has begun pointing at the baby's face and dog. She also loves the tickling that this book provokes. And we also love that it's a board book, so she can turn the pages without worrying about ripping them.
Adorable books and simple to read to my 8 month year old. The colors and simple text keep my baby's attention and he likes to look at the baby. I recommend to parents with babies under 1, though you can definitely use this book longer as you point out things happening in the book.
another great book from a great kids author. one word of caution: if you get into the book as much as we do with our daughter dont read it at bedtime because all the fun tickling will just get your child wound up before bed! :-)
My 2 year old loves every one of these books. He has loved them since he was a baby. They are all so cute. There is a Birthday ,Christmas, potty, Halloween, Tickle, and etc. The best thing about them is they are gender nuetral. You don't know if the baby is a boy or girl. Our favorite is probably "Toot". Try them all!
