Do Cows Meow? (A Lift-the-Flap Book)
ebooks Download

Do cows sing? Do cows cuckoo? All I know is cows go . . . MOO! Simple, rhythmic, and lots of fun, this big, brightly illustrated board book will have kids happily imitating all kinds of animal “talk.” For each creature--including a sheep, duck, frog, and cat--a giant “mouth” flap lifts up to reveal a new animal sound that will surely inspire a symphony of baa-ing, ribbiting, and meowing. And, at the end, children can open two barnyard gates to see and say all the animal sounds again.

Love the words, art, and final "wrap-up" page -- great for teaching babies / younger kids animal noises and my 14 month old loves it!However, this edition isn't very helpful for the baby/toddler phase. The flaps are slippery and soft-edged -- hard for even an adult to lift, let alone a child -- plus they are WAY too flimsy/easy to rip off. My son ripped off the mouse flap twice within 1 hour of the book arriving...and not just because he's destructive, but because he got frustrated trying to lift it up and just pulled instead.Would prefer this in a board book format!

My 10-month old son finds this book very entertaining. The pictures are big and goofy, and when you lift the flap the text is an animal sound. He grins every time a huge animal mouth opens up and I say "MOO!" or "MEOW!" This book captures his attention more because it is large, with big flaps and dramatic illustrations. He also likes to hear his parents make silly animal sounds. A fun lift-the-flap book.

My little one liked it and spend a lot of time flipping the pages and lifting the flaps. What makes this a one star is the quality of the paper, it is very flimsy, not proper sturdy cardboard as expected. The flaps soon came off and I had to throw this away after just a few weeks which seems very wasteful to me. Our other card board books still last after months of chewing making this book our worst buy yet.

My 13 month old son loves this book. The pictures are large and colorful and he loves lifting the flaps to look into the animals mouth. I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys reading to their child!!

My 5 month old LOVES this book and she laughs out loud and smiles. I will be buying the other book by the same author. The baby was interested in the book since she was 2-3 months old, when she wasn't interested in other books. But now she smiles and laughs when I read it to her. I think it's because it's a big book and she isn't too distracted by her surroundings

My 18 month old granddaughter has several books, but this one is her new favorite. She wants me to read it to her over and over, as she lifts the flaps and says the sound that each animal makes. It has just enough words without it losing her attention. The plastic coated paper is very durable. This book is a large size, as toddler books go, but my granddaughter and I both like this size.

This is such a cute book to read to my 7 1/2 month old. She giggles when the mouths open and I make the sounds. The pages and flaps have a plastic feel. It seems like a durable construction, where even with a tug or two, the flaps stay properly connected. I do use the tip of my nail to lift the large flaps - revealing the inside of each animals' mouth, complete with sound words and teeth! I see a long future of fun with this lift-the-flap book! I love how each page is a new color also. We do the animals, sounds, and colors. There are eight characters and the final page is a fold-out reveal of all of them. I would buy this again, and will probably buy the other books (Do Crocs Kiss?) because we have such fun with this one.

My daughter is 18 months and loves books with flaps. She stays pretty busy with them which gives me some time to get a few things accomplished. I was really excited to add this book to her collectIon, and she really liked it, but I was disappointed with the construction. It was very flimsy, and she tore a couple pages within the first few days. It is a cute little book, just wish it was a bit more sturdy.
