Cute book. My daughter is so in love with Team Umizoomi (which I don't mind because at 2 she knows how to count to 25 with no help -- 50 with a little help, knows all her shapes, not really a bad thing).The glow in the dark doesn't work great (you have to hold the picture under a light for 30 seconds -- most kids will go onto something other than listening to the story if you take the time to hold the book under the light for that long). Used the stickers for her plain white potty and made it an Umizoomi potty (helped with potty training since she then wanted to use the potty).The story is a short version of the episode with Santa if you watch the show.
I have an Umizoomi-loving child. She goes crazy for Umizoomi and since the show is a bit older, it was really difficult to find umizoomi toys that didn't cost and arm and a leg. These books go along with the episodes and have been great for developing her speech. She is a bit behind on speech but will sit and point out the objects in the book. I really get her talking so this is a major accomplishment for us.
My 4 year old son loves Team UmiZoomi, and this was one of the books I purchased to read him during his winter break from preschool.The story is very cute, and the glow in the dark works well and is a fun feature. I gave it four stars because it skips one of the activities from the matching episode, and my son was disappointed. If your kids won't care, or haven't seen it, it will be perfect! Even my "thinks-she's-grown" 7 year old daughter enjoyed the story and the glow in the dark feature.
Stickers were cut crooked so when you peel them up only half of sticker shows ...annoyed but not worth returning ...the glow in the dark feature also is a sham ...lasts about two seconds before fading
Just like the TV series, this book tells a good story, keeps the kids interested, and teaches a valuable life lesson. The grandkids love these books, and this is nice for the holidays. I give the book a 5-star rating for good quality as well.
My kids love Team Umizoomi. I read this book often. The stickers are a great addition. We haven't used the glow in the dark, but the kids like feeling the texture of the pages. Not a board book, so will rip if handled improperly.
My son and I really enjoy this book. Every other page is glow in the dark, which I find to be perfect that way I am not turning the light on and off every page. The stickers are also glow in the dark.
When I put this book in my cart it was $3.99 and when I got my credit card statement it was over $8. Very cute book. You have to read it with a flashlight or hold the glow pages under a lamp and turn it off and on so the kids can see the glow pages. I would have not paid over $8 for a paperback book with less than 10 pages.
