My 10 year old loves anything concerning Hank the Cowdog. The songs are really fun to listen to. The author uses a mixture of patriotic, hymns, traditional, and original tunes that are put to his original words.
funny and well written songs..itll be great in the car with the grandkids. problem is sent it in a bag and the case got crushed. no plastic hinge and I couldn't give it as a gift. boo hiss hiss
I ordered this for my 11 year old son for Christmas. He is a big fan of the audio books about Hank the Cowdog by John Erickson. He would skip to the songs over and over and laugh hysterically. It's juvenile humor at it's best, but I recommend you be familiar with the audio books to really enjoy this.
We have been avid Hank the Cowdog fans for years now and we were so excited to get these greatest hits CD's. The kids knew the songs right away and enjoy listening to them over and over. For those who haven't read the books, I doubt you'll enjoy them much at all - they need their context - but they are great for fans.
My son and I love the Hank the Cowdog books, so it is great fun to actually listen to the songs from each book. The songs are funny in the books, but you need to hear them to really appreciate their true humor. Another great addition to the Hank the Cowdog series.
