Bought this for my grandsons. They are ages 6 thru 9. Even the youngest can learn to draw from these books. Could not believe how fast they learned to draw. The step by step instructions are very easy and the children do not get discouraged when learning to draw.
I purchased this book for my nephew who was turning 9 on his birthday. I bought it along with a Strathmore Kids sketchbook and some good pencils. I was worried that it might be a little too advanced for him, but that was definitely an unfounded concern. It was perfect, and he was drawing vehicles in no time. The steps are simple and there is a nice variety. I would definitely recommend this as a gift for a young boy!
Ordered it for my 6 year old nephew who is very much into drawing right now. He likes to follow the step by step instructions and after working on a few pictures with him from various website, my husband suggest these books. We bought a few for him (monsters, cars and animals) and some are a little more complicating for him but he loves it and started on them right away.
Got it for my grandson and he was so excieted and ready to start drawing as soon as he received it. A big success.
