You are doing your taxes wrong, and you have no idea.Rideshare drivers with their own business are the least prepared for audits. Much of what they are told by friends and the internet is plain wrong. Leading up to writing this book, I chatted up several drivers to find out how they did their taxes. As a trained professional, I was shocked. People taking mileage and gasoline. Business owners not paying estimated tax payments. Even worse, other people were TELLING them to do these things. If audited, these types of actions would cause HUGE penalties and back taxes. Your biggest deduction on a return could vanish - leaving you with a giant, unpaid tax bill. Stop the IRS nightmare before it begins and learn the real way to do taxes. This book will teach you the fundamentals of becoming a business owner and includes:-Helpful glossary of common tax terms so you understand what you read.-Correct facts cited by real IRS code, instructions, and resources.-Breakdown of different types of deductions to maximize your refund.-Audit defense tips to make your return harder to crack.-Tax timeline this year (2016) to keep track of the seemingly endless forms to file....and much more!"Taxes for Uber and Lyft Drivers 2015" is the first comprehensive book to be written by a REAL credentialed professional. One purchase today could save you hundreds in the future!

All I got from Lyft was a 1099. I had no idea that I could deduct mileage I drove waiting for rides (not included in the statement from Lyft) and other vehicle maintenance. I had also heard from a friend I could deduct my car payments, which isn't necessarily true. This was a lifesaver.

I'm thinking of being a ride-share driver and this answered my tax questions. Great info! Seems like a must-have for anyone driving or even thinking about it. You want to know this stuff before you start, not afterward.

The book answered a lot of questions about uber tax dos and donts. Helped me figure out what to document!
