The amazing Bob! The amazing Boynton! Because who else but Sandra Boynton could imagine 15 Bobs in one book? Actually, that's 14 Bobs, and one Simon James Alexander Ragsdale the Third (he's a turtle), which gives Fifteen Animals! the added dimension of being a unique counting book—count the Bobs, count the pets, count the bunnies, count the fish. Fifteen Animals! also comes with a free song available via download. It's all the energy and appeal of Boynton: the lively language, distinctive illustrations, and inimitable characters. And music. And counting. And, for the first time, a person character, an earnest little boy who loves animals and happily sings: I really like animals, I like them a lot. Fifteen animals is what I’ve got. I’ve got fifteen animals. They're friendly and tame, and I’ve given each one a special name. Make that Bob.

"Fifteen Animals" is, admittedly (and intentionally) a bit of a one-note joke... But it's also more cute, Boyntonesque fun! The gag is that the narrator loves animals, but gives them all the same name: Bob. He's got a cat named Bob and a frog named Bob and a cow named Bob... indeed, all of his animals have the same name except for one, who has a long, lofty, goofy, aristocratic sounding name instead. It's funny the first time around, although it doesn't have the same sort of rolls-off-your-tongue kookiness and durability as some of Boynton's older books. Still, ya gotta love Sandra Boynton, even when she gives all the animals the same name! (Joe Sixpack, ReadThatAgain children's book reviews)

We're big fans of Sandra Boynton in this house. We love her illustrations, and the fact that her books are enjoyable for kids, while not being annoying to adults! I always secretly hope my 2-year-old will pick a Boynton book for our pre-bedtime reading.Fifteen Animals did not disappoint. Whimsical, cute, easy for little kids to understand. My son is into counting in a big way, so while I'm reading about the animals, he's pointing out the numbers on each page. Bottom line: we love it!

We have purchased many of Boynton's books and have been very pleased with them all. This book is a great addition to our little one's collection. Would definetly reccomend others to purchase this authors books.

My wife hates that 14 of the animals are named Bob. Honestly, that doesn't bother me nearly as much as 5 of the animals are rabbits. That bunny section doesn't even flow as nice as the rest of the book. Anyway, overall, it has nice illustrations and combined with a quick read, the book is fun... but it just gets okay marks from me. In my view, it had potential, it just could have used a little modification... especially the bunny section. Sorry, Bobs.

My son LOVES Boynton. So I got a set of new books. We both love One Two Three, we both love The Belly Button Book, and neither of us like this one. It's not funny to us.However, if your kid thinks it's funny, great! The art is certainly great, but the words were a letdown to us.

We love all of the Boynton board books, and this one is just another clever and silly one to add to your collection. The writing is very simple, and the cute little "surprise" ending will make your little one laugh. We love this one.

I love Sandra Boynton. She writes easy yet fun children's books. I read this book to my 2 month old son and to my 3 year old niece (she thinks this book is hillarious) but it's a fun and entertaining book. This book is great for counting and introducing different animals to your child(ren).

The kids found this book to be quite humorous. I don't think it is as good as some of Sandra Boynton's books, but still a good one. I would get this if you are looking to expand your Sandra Boynton collection.
