The book itself is beautifully crafted; the drawings are inventive and imaginative. I had thought our 3-year-old grandson, who loves trucks and cars and reading books, would be interested in this book; but apparently the pages were too complicated for him to follow. We rarely made it all the way through.
Great book, words flow well. My 2 year old son LOVES it and loves the illustrations. I do think it is better as a book rather than on the kindle as we have it. I would like to buy the paper version as well.
My 2.5 year old just recently discovered a fascination with trains. This book does a great job showing the variety of trains. The illustrations are fantastic and the rhymes make the book a lot of fun to read.
My grandsons LOVE this book! It's one of the first ones they "run" to when I bring my Kindle out. The artwork is BEAUTIFUL and the text definitely grabs their interest! Even my granddaughter loves to read it to her younger brothers. It's a good buy for the kiddos!
My grandson currently is immersed in loving planes and helicopters, but trains do interest him somewhat. He liked the book. It will probably be of more in depth interest as he gets older. I think a 4 year old boy would go nuts.
We're big into trains right now. Our 2.5 year old really connects with train life. This book is both fabulously descriptive and interesting for an adult to read. It has great rhyming and cadence... two things I'm VERY picky about. Buy this book. You won't regret it if you like awesome stuff.
My 3 year old has loved this book since he was two. The artwork is unique and fun and the text has a great rhythm. Fun for reading aloud. Glad we finally have our own copy since the one at the library is always checked out.
my son is just shy of 3 and LOVEs trains... we borrowed this book from the library and we both fell in love with it. The illustrations are wonderful and has a fun rhythm to the story line. we ended up buying it!
