Ever since the creation of "Azumanga Daioh", I've been a fan of Kiyohiko Azuma's work, and his adorable second series, "Yotsuba&", depicting the day to day life of a little girl, her adoptive father, her loving neighbors, and the various wacky situations she gets herself into. Each volume gets exponentially better, giving the reader tiny windows into the characters' pasts while also developing them, with its laid back atmosphere and pleasant artwork that walks the line between realism and cartoony stylization. In this installment, Yotsuba gets back from her camping trip in the previous volume, giving her neighbors odd souvenirs, before being surprised by a visit from her grandma. And in the three days that Granny stays over, Yotsuba learns all about how to cook, clean, not be greedy, and take sad goodbyes with dignity. While it still remains unclear as to where Yotsuba came from, and how she was adopted, we do learn quite a deal about her family via her grandmother, who, up until this point, was only mentioned, but never seen. Though age has given her a sour-looking face, her heart is anything but, and through her clever wordplay and patience, she's able to impart a few life lessons on her granddaughter. who treats Granny's visit like a presidential event. (Not to mention we also FINALLY learn her dad's first name,)In short, this is another cute installment in the series, that arguably gives us the most background info on the main characters, and it makes me hope and wonder what antics that Yotsuba will get into next.

Yotsuba is a busy girl. She just came back from camping and Grandma is coming to visit. It's been a long time since the last translated Yotsuba&! manga has come out in the US. I'm so glad this series is still being made. Yotsuba is a ray of sunshine in my life, even though she gets a little cloudy sometimes. You'll enjoy this latest volume, new and old fans.

Another great Yotsuba volume. Given that it took like two and half years for this one to be released after the last one was, I told myself I'd only read one chapter every other day or so.. so as to make it last. Yea, didn't happen, finished it in one sitting lol. Someone needs to make a bunch of clones of Azuma-sensei so they can all work on the content together and get us new volumes faster lol :)

It's been a while since the last volume of Yotsuba was released! I was so excited when I saw that there was to be another volume! I only got it yesterday and have already finished it! This series is a fun and relaxing slice-of-life manga that is sure to please readers! This volume contains eight chapters-- #83 "Yotsuba& Sticks and Stuff," #84 "Yotsuba& Sandbox," #85 "Yotsuba& Night," #86 "Yotsuba& Souvenirs," #87 "Yotsuba& Cleaning," #88 "Yotsuba& Grandma," #89 "Yotsuba& The Black Ghost," and #90 "Yotsuba& All Day Long." I really enjoyed this volume! I can't wait for the next one! :)

Yotsuba&! is a very lighthearted and enjoyable series, appropriate for all ages. My only question about this particular volume, which I haven't been able to find an answer for online anywhere, is why there was such a long delay between vol. 12 and vol. 13.

I really live this series. I smile several times when reading Yotsuba, even rereading. Getting to meet another member of her family was fun and showed you how her dad got some of her personality. Definitely recommend this series!! I've been enjoying it for years.

The latest installment of the Yotsuba&! series lives up to it's reputation. Yotsuba is as charming and unpredictable as ever. The series gets expanded as Yotsuba's grandmother comes to visit. As Yotsuba puts it "Grandma has an angry face, but she's not angry! It's just that way!" Grandma is a tough bird, but not without a kind heart, and brings a few changes to the Koiwai household.Although the book is recommended for ages 8 - 12, parents will enjoy reading these books too. It's hard to read them and not see some of your own child in Yotsuba. As with all of the rest, Yotsuba&! 13 is a delight!

Absolutely adore this book, just as incredible as the rest in the series. I have pretty picky tastes when it comes to manga but I can very honestly say that these books have gotten me through the worst times in my life. The endless optimism, silly hi-jinks, and touching moments never fail to lift my spirits. And as someone who works with kids on a daily basis and grew up with a large group of younger cousins I'm always blown away by how believable the characters are in this series. 10/10, will be reading until the book literally falls apart.
