"Using Speech Recognition Software" has everything I needed. First, the chapters take you through the process of learning speech to text typing. You learn this in a clear,step by step,process that makes it so much easier than trying to do it in a trial and error way. Then, the book becomes a great reference guide to go back and look up details you might have forgotten.I'm so glad I got beyond my old "slow typing", and I recommend using the book to guide you toward a really valuable new life-long skill. I'm doing a lot more writing now just because of the time I'm saving by having learned this. For me, it has been well worth the effort.
This is a very thorough textbook for Dragon Naturally Speaking (and the built-in Windows speech recognition, which is taught in separate chapters). There are exercises and the text is easy to read and digest.
So far I like this book. The book is a quick read and it has provide effective methods to enhance speech recognition using Dragon Naturally Speaking software.
