The author pops in and out of several execs...documents aspects of their lifestyle...and moves on.It would have been better to discuss that different regions and different industries have differing cultures that execs in that area styled their life to. Thus, there are many flavors of executive lifestyle.Without that, you are left with a collection of misfitting lifestyles.On the plus side, the book does delve into the interesting history of men's business suit fashion. Originating from military and royal dress, the tie, the shoe, the number of jacket buttons, etc. all have distictive meanings.So despite this book being authored in the 80's, it is still quite applicable. In fact, since the 80's were a period of unashamed of showing one's wealth, it covers the culture more transparently than today's fashion magazines.Makes you want to punch scruffy faced, crunchily-dressed, green billionaires in the face.
