Do you introduce Reader's Workshop with any of the versions of Goldilocks books for the analogy of the "just right" book? This book is not about Goldilocks, but it's perfect for talking about how to find a book that you're interested in reading. I use it one of my launching lessons for Reader's Workshop. It's perfect for K-2 students.

This is the third in a series of children's books about reading. The rhyming is wonderful and the art is terrific. Encouraging reading in children is so important and all three books really hit the mark. I have purchased 8 copies of each book over the years and have given them to my nieces and nephews as holiday gifts.

Debbie Bertram and Susan Bloom's THE BEST BOOK TO READ addresses a common problem: how a child can choose a book to read among all available. A fun rhyme accompanies a survey of different kinds of books that invite an avid reader at the library. Michael Garland's large full-page bright color drawings lends excitement.

This book is great when you have a youngster who really doesn't like to read. It will give them a boost to want to read. The pictures are wonderful and inviting. My first grade class loved it.

I think this book is a great tool to teach kids about the different types of information different books contain. The pictures are colorful and crisp. I didn't give it four stars because I'm not sure it's the type of book kids would liike to read over and over again . This is just my opinion of course, it's all subjective. I would like to add that if a child cannot read the words, they may really enjoy the colorful pictures.

The perfect book to introduce Read to Self in the Daily 5 or just silent reading time in general. It clearly illustrates the importance of finding the perfect spot to enjoy a book. It stresses that books are for enjoyment as well.

One of my favorite books to read in the beginning of the year. It is easy to understand, a quick read, and a great way to introduce "A Good Fit Book." I even read this to my third graders!

I use this book during Reader's Workshop with my first graders. It is a great book to read aloud and motivate your students to read books. :)
