Any free thinker who attempts to obtain unbiased fact will have a huge sense of recognition when reading this. This book only gives you the mindset required to make connections and see patterns in information. The key to utilising the information effectively (in my opinion) is to memorise it's content and when given new information, assess it with these points in mind. Perhaps apply these skills to this book and assess for yourself whether it's contents stand up to scrutiny.I have given this book four stars because I dislike that the title brands people according to a scale which the author partially rejects and effectively puts people on a pedestal.
As the cover suggests, this book is a list of 40 principles that highly successful people follow. The author includes lots of examples from real life to explain why each of these principles is important, and how they can be applied in real life. The best way to treat this book is as a pocket guide for useful reminders on how to think, organize, and plan. Highly recommended!
The book is basically a list of skills that can help you improve your thought process. It may be what geniuses do, but it is also what any intelligent person can do. If you looking for insight into how geniuses think, I don't believe this give a full picture.
THE INTELLECTUAL TOOLKIT OF GENIUSES: 40 Principles That Will Make You Smarter and Teach You to Think Like a GeniusBy: I.C. Robledo* I received a free ebook copy of this title in exchange for a fair and honest review.*This is a short book (only 37 pages) that outlines 40 principles of how geniuses think. The author believes that if people follow these principles, that these same people can learn to think like a genius. The author states, "Ask what you would teach if you were in charge of the school system," and he makes an interesting point. He is correct in stating that schools just teach students to read and then regurgitate facts. Students are rarely taught the "why" behind those facts. This is a fundamental flaw in the current educational system. The author makes some interesting observations and in general I believe his list of principles are sound."Great geniuses do not make excuses. They are prepared to put in the work and learn on their own if required."RATING:Overall I think this short book is an interesting and informative read. Most of the advice offered by the author is intelligent and well thought out. This book deserves a rating of 4 out of 5 stars and is worth reading. It's length is such that anyone and everyone should be able to find the time to read it in it's entirety in a single day."Intelligence can be improved, depending on how you choose to use your brain."View more of my reviews online at:amiesbookreviews.wordpress.com
I like this book for it's ability to build up your self confidence. Many of these ideas we pick up in life (even if we are not geniuses) and many other ideas are just good and should be practiced. It is well written and easy to understand. I recommend it for anyone who wants to improve themselves.
I often felt that my intelligence was a burden to handle at times as I could feel the potential and could figure out things that other people could not but I am self-aware enough to know that I am not operating anywhere near my actual potential. The tools listed in this book are extremely valuable as they provide you the means to manifest their intellectual powers EFFECTIVELY. I feel that's the authors intention in the book, It's not to make anyone a genius or to motivate you to become a genuis but teach you how to use your own natural intelligence as effectively as possible. In that regard, it succeeds and does so with less than 50 pages.
