My daughter absolutely loves this book - the characters, the colors and the rhyming prose. Its Disney meets Dr Sues. The illustrations are just beautiful. The book contents is colourful, entertaining, and educational - all at the same time. It teaches children to read and play music in a very fast, powerful, fun and easy way. My daughter learned so much so very quickly that after the first reading she was able to relate the notes on a keyboard, with those on sheet music; this is because of she was able to associate the colorful characters in the book and their positions on the Music Staff. She very quickly grasped the concept of reading music. The book had had a very positive impact on her.I highly recommend this book to parents who wish to teach their children how to read and play music in a fun and easy way. The best part is that non-musically inclined parents, like myself, will learn just as much at the same time as their children. This book is absolutely fantastic!It basically gives all the notes on a music sheet different cartoon characters, with corresponding names that start with the notes alphabet (A, B, C, etc), making it easy for children to relate the note on the sheet with the right character, hence the note! GENIUS!It also has some fun children stories, gorgeous graphics, and actual popular tunes for kids to learn. I cannot recommend this book enough to parents who are trying to familiarize their children with music and how to read music sheet, and is absolutely perfect for kids who are trying to learn how to play Piano.
It's an era of magical revival; certainly fairy tales and enchanting characters are seeping into all modalities of story-telling. It has been long overdue to pay tribute to and acknowledge the preeminence of music for its magical prowess. This book stands out as a pioneer to bring forth the knowledge that there is indeed magic in life and we can all experience it; and bestows it upon all generations to come. Bravo!
