Lucie falls in love with Charles Darnay, another expatriate, who has abandoned wealth and a title in France because of his political convictions. When revolution breaks out in Paris, Darnay returns to the city to help an old family servant, but there he is arrested because of the crimes committed by his relations. His wife, Lucie, their young daughter, and her aged father follow him across the channel, thus putting all their lives in danger.

This is a great unabridged version of this wonderful book. Well read & clear. This is the book to buy if you want the complete story.
My son and I listened to this entire book while driving this winter back and forth to skiing and other sports. He read along with it on the Kindle and for a dyslexic 8th grade boy to be able to read and hear this tremendous classic was nothing short of a gift. I loved it and am grateful that these kinds of resources are available today. His comment at the end of this moving tale was, "Mom, I think Dickens was a genius!"
One of my all time favorite classics. I am a fan since a youngster of Charles Dickens and it's been many years since I read this novel. Listening to it was a complete treat! The storytelling couldn't have been any better with set-ups and characters. I love to listen while driving and this audiobook kept me from being agitated during traffic jams. Absolutely recommend.
