I am a huge fan of Johanna Lindsey's writing, in fact she is one of my all time favorites. But having said that, I have been very disappointed in her past four or five attempts, especially with Let Love Find You. Her characters are well developed, the plot is interesting and the hero and herione click. (Ms. Lindsey has a knack for writing about very believable characters).But it fell flat.I guess my first peeve about Let Love Find You is the fact that th h/h are hardly together in the first half of the book and even at the end they're together a bit more, but not enough to fall in love. Don't get me wrong, they do have chemistry and when they're together you want them to rip each other's clothing off and soar to the heaven's! BUT!!!!! What happened to the good ole days when the main characters are hardly ever apart? Amanda, the heroine, is always talking to someone else and so is Devin, the hero.My second biff with this book is the fact that there's no hyped up attacks on the herione, or she doesn't really get hurt and he's in torture for days until her fever breaks.......I guess I'm old school. The herione does sorta get a shake up from a dislikable character, but before it escalates, Devin beats the living daylights out of him and thence the love scene comes about, which was nothing more than a passing breeze. Thenceforth, comes my third let down in the book.If you invest time in characters that are passionate and believeable, and Amanda and Devin are, you want them to have at least one good romp. I mean, there's a love scene, but it's almost vague and truthfully I'm disappointed that he wasn't a bit more involved with the scene. It happens, but really you could skip it and you wouldn't miss anything.
