I had disagreement with my wife regarding this product, as any other reader might disagree with my opinion as well. I personally think that counting 25 by saying 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ...... 24 and 25 and then starting to count 26 again by saying 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ...... 25 and 26 is boring, demands quite a lot of patience (which the toddlers/kids usually lack) and impractical. A kid can do this up to 10 without much effort but more than this needs quite a bit of persuasion. So after buying this product I think those cards with nine chickens or 10 fruits would be useful but 25 flowers wont come to much help to my son for learning numbers.
I bought these for my young nephew (under 2 years old) and he loved them. He hands them to you when he sees you so he can try and say both the number and what the picture represents (frogs etc). Really stimulating for young children and a fabulous way to get them to learn to recognize numbers and counting.
A friend recommended these Brighter Cards. I ordered several different card sets (shapes, letters, numbers, words, etc) and have been working them with my 2 year old. He likes the cards and the colors/ pictures on them. He also enjoys putting each card back in the box after we're done with it.All in all I think these are a good learning tool. And I love the low price!!!!My only complaint is that the cards are a bit on the thin side.....and when considering that toddlers will be handeling them, they should be thicker to ensure durability and longevity.
When I purchased these cards, I got them believing "oh 26 cards, that's an strange amount of cards" it's actually 26 x 2= 52 cards. As a mother with a crazy, messy toddler, and very much minimalist there were far too many cards. I would have to say it would've been easier to simplify these cards to putting the actual number ex. 1 and the spelling of "one" on the card. It's a tad bit confusing the product title is "Numbers 1 to 26 Flash Cards" just make sure it is known there's really 52 cards. The box to the cards obviously doesn't stay together anymore after a week of usage.
I got these flashcards to help my three-year-old granddaughter start learning her numbers. She enjoys counting the creatures that are on the reverse of the card from the number and then we do the flip to see what the number looks like. Hopefully by the time she starts preschool. Will have her well on her way to knowing her numbers.
Pre-kinder need to learn their numbers to ease into Kindergarten. The cards are fun as you watch the children learn to make up their own games with the cards after they are introduced to them. Words and pictures increase the ability to read colors etc.
Good buy. Nice quality and seems as if these will hold up well over time and it's a nice switch from all the electronic devices they already have. Easy to pack and you don't have to worry about breakage on road trips or outings.
The Brighter Child flash cards are among my favorite. Clear and upbeat, thoughtful. The value is great too, as each deck is so reasonably priced. My daughter has loved these cards, and they are an effective and fun tool for helping her learn numbers.
