This book took my son and I on a journey back through time. It was fascinating to learn how boys became knights. It was interesting to learn that it was rare for someone to be made a knight for their bravery. My son said he would not want to wear the 50 pounds of armor! But he would like to visit the medieval castles! Great book to learn about knights and the middle ages.
Admit it, almost all of us wanted to be a knight back when we were still kids. Well, this book helps to dust off those memories by giving us such wonderful images of the knights in their armor. Seeing the pictures of castles with their descriptions have brought a smile to my face.
