What a fantastic children's book! I love the story, the translation is accurate, and the illustrations are beautiful! Perhaps not advanced enough for adult Swahili students, but a great addition to any library regardless.
Years ago I learned some basic Swahili and I went to Africa. On my trip I was able to speak Swahili to a Maasai. He understood what I was saying. I was so proud that we were able to communicate with each other. I am planning to go back and have been looking for children stories that would allow me to communicate to the Maasai children and to improve on my language skills. I love the English and Swahili books. I wish there were more children English and Swahili books available.
