Enjoyed the book very much. This is a nice series, for young or old. I'm an old lady , but enjoy a good book no matter the age. Nice that it's clean! Oh, I enjoy my bloody, sexy novels too, but a change is nice! I've read the whole series.
Outstanding continuation of the Theodore Boone story. Couldn't put it down once I started reading. Read it in one sitting, just like the earlier exploits of Theo Boone; couldn't put it down until I was finished. Certainly hope there is more about Theo.
I really enjoy reading the Theodore Boone books in general and Theodore Boone: The Scandal in particular. As I have said before, these books are written for pre-teenage children, but are just as interesting and entertaining for adults. This series teaches ethical and moral lessons to children and adults! Well done Mr. Grisham!Theodore’s Uncle Ike is a disbarred lawyer, the reasons for being so are hinted at, but I suspect will be revealed in a future book! I look forward to this plot twist.Read the book to get the whole story—it will be worth the time!
I have noticed that the Theodore Boone books are getting shorter and the print seems bigger with more spaces. But the price for e books is still the same. By next year they will be mini books, But I'll still be reading them, paying the price and complaining. Gotta love John Grisham my favorite author by far.
The improbable world of Theo Boone is interesting to follow as this 13 year old gets involved with legal proceedings. The Boone's goal is to become a lawyer and he shows signs of being a great one.By all means, read this latest book from John Grisham.
This was an enjoyable book from many aspects. It questioned the wisdom of standardized testing. It brought to light some of the issues facing students and teachers today. Does society place an unreasonable burden on teachers and schools by not addressing social issues in other areas? Does Finland have a more reasonalbe approach in focusing on letting students be children and learning to play and socialize together rather than on covering subject matter? Will Theo ever grow beyond 13 years of age? I've read all of the books in the series and am thankful that one of my sisters first recommended them to me four years ago. I'll look forward to more Theodore Boone books in the future!
What a delightful story! I hope Grisham starts a whole new series around this protagonist! Theo is the teenage son of two attorneys and has lawyer proclivities himself. His tangential involvement with a home town scandal makes for a wonderful story. The outcome had one facet that I thought unlikely, but that's the only flaw in this great tale.
Fantastic trip into the mind of Theodore, and an ever more fascinating visit to his quaint home town. Beautifully written by one of the greatest storytellers of legal dramas of all time. I buy every one of John Grisham's books and re-read them often. Thank you, John.
