I don't understand the negative review. There's nothing wrong with this book. The illustrations are very nice. It shows all the animals with their instruments on the cover then it asks, who plays the (instrument) then says (animal) plays the (instrument). It's a basic repetitive book for children to memorize and read over and over to help them learn sight words. It's not supposed to be a guessing game. It is also free from errors like I've seen in many children's books. I'm posting this one on my blog.
My 6 month old was a little squirmy and crying so I got my ipad and downloaded this book for her. I started to read and she calmed down. The pictures are cute and clear. It has a word list at the end of the book with about 50 words that are found in the book. This should come in handy in later months. Overall a good, quick download.
The graphics are cute and I like that there are different types of instruments. The thing that really gets me is theThe format is simple, "Who plays the INSTRUMENTThe ANIMAL plays the INSTRUMENT"Pretty cute right? My problem is that the guessing is pretty difficult. In the case of the elephant is is near impossible since the elephant looks green (I would have guessed frog or toad!)It goes through 11 animals and their instruments. Since each instrument is read twice (the question and answer) it is a decent option if you are teaching musical instruments.That being said, there is a nice word list at the end, so if you want a book with a predictable format and a word list this could be it!
