Trudy Harris does a wonderful job of making math patterns easy to learn and fun in this book. I read it out loud to my daughter and she immediately sang along. She had no difficulty seeing how the patterns of colors echoed the little songs. A great concept book! Every kindergarten teacher should have this!
This is one of THE best books for pre-K and kindergarten I've ever seen. There are at least 5-6 different patterns to identify on every page, many more on some pages. They run the gamut from patterns by color, by shape, by size, and by number, to any combination of these characteristics. A terrific learning tool for children!
I am a Kindergarten teacher and this book is perfect for Pre-k through 1st!! The pictures are great and the text is very sweet. I highly recommend it.
This book is perfect for an elementary school teacher. The illustrations are fun and the story is sweet. This book is one of the best learning tools I have ever seen. Students can identify multiple patterns with the turn of each page. This is a wonderfully written book. I would highly recommend it to parents of young children and elementary school teachers.
As a kindergarten teacher I am always looking for books to read aloud that go along with whatever we are learning. This book was really great to read when we were learning about recognizing repeating patterns. The kids loved looking for patterns in the pictures! Pattern Bugs and Pattern Fish are such similar books, the kids are sure to make the text to text connection!
