I really enjoyed this book. It was a different type of story and well written. I have other books by Karen Anna Vogel and have enjoyed all of them. The location of Smicksburg, PA in some of her books is special to me as I was lived in that general area as a child and still have relatives there. It was very pleasant to read a book and recognize some of the areas mentioned in the book. I will be sharing this book with my sister who also enjoys reading about the Amish people.
Oh my goodness, where do I start? This was an awesome trilogy. Karen brought out the characters that you felt like you was one of the characters in the story.My favorite character would be Cassia Byler, "The Herbalist's Daughter". She had the kindest heart but got her heart broken. Someone comes into her life to show her the true meaning of what the Bible teaches. As she learns more of God's Love she finds true love. Will this be her husband and her partner that she will be with for the rest of her life? Will she get baptized to become Amish like the faith of her loved ones?Karen keeps this story going with laughter, tears, faith and inspiration. This is the first time reading Karen Anna Vogel novels and all I can say is , "give me more, give me more, on reading all her books as I can get my hands on." You cannot miss a book of her's so go grab The Herbalist's Daughter Complete Trilogy today.
I enjoy all (I've read 41 so far) of Karen Anna Vogel's books. Yes, definitely recommend them.
