My Husband and I are raising our Grandson/son now and we haven't had to do any type of Math in 20 some years so we need to learn the new core Algebra so maybe we don't feel as doubt as we are it's a try and the Books are GREAT but the people are just to old, I think we need a tutor !!

Very good book to teach/torture "smart ass" kids

I have this for my 7th grade kids because the school homework lack of practice. The school system require the kids to understand the math concept, which I agree but then what...lack of actual practices on how to deal with questions. For this book, the question level is over most of school homework. the kids will need extra guidiance while working on the question. I believe its not a everyday workbook. Its best serve as a purpose for some identical type of questions that your kids is not good at. I found it useful in this way. I will ask my kids to do the first 2 question sof each section. If they get it right, I will skip that whole topic. If not, they will have to finish the whole page.

Mostly just a workbook. Not enough explanation.
