Brooke St James is unbelievable--and she has done it again. Louisiana hospitality can soften even the most bitter heart. Alex begins her relationship with Jacob with this southern charm in mind. Once she breaks through his unwelcoming steeled facade she discovers there is a whole lot more between them. and even but it quickly moves from friends to something more. Trust and lots of clean, but gooey romance makes this book perfect. I am jealous of anyone beginning this book for the first time--you are in for the best!
This is an adorable,light and fun read. Just the perfect read for an evening when you want to read something to relax me and make me giggle a bit! You won't be disappointed,that's for sure! I am downloading the next episode as I write!! 😊👏🏼❤️
Being from the South, I totally get the friendly nature of Alex and her family. I know it can throw people off like it did Jacob in the story, but it is so "normal" to us that anyone not accepting of our kindness is the "weird" one. Great story.
I really don't like writing reviews but I had to do it now. I loved the Hunt series by this author and decided to add a St. James Collection to my library ;) Book one in the Martin Family series is a keeper. This is such a sweet book and I am going to immediately begin book two. Read the book blurb for a summary and be ready to have your heart touched.
This book reminds me of the easy,clean,curl your toes love books I used to read during my teenage and young adult yearsLife has a way of getting us jaded about true love and "fairy tales" but this book reminds me what realistic wholesome relationships feels like. Excellent job by the author
The plot of this book was so unique and I adored it! Christian romance at its finest. Lots of sparks and attraction between the characters Yet keeping it clean. Good moral to the story without hitting the reader over the head with it. I loved loved loved the ending. Happy reading!!
Such a wondrous most beautiful story which I knew I'd fallen completely in love with. With such gorgeous writing by, Brooke St James, I just knew I'd just adore this most magical series, Martin Family.Alex Martin, she'd grown up and always lived in Southern Louisiana in a small town at the swamps of New Orleans. Only leaving once in her life for business college. But now she was back again. Both her father and Uncle have always been so competitive against each other through their business together. Alex always knew she wanted to met Jacob Fox.There was alway a story behind the name Jacob Fox. He'd been well known on the television. There was always a secret story behind this mans disappearance. Once I started this book I just knew there was more of an amazing story to come. I thoroughly enjoyed this book !!* I recommend this book to everyone
I loved this very sweet story of healing and love. Alex is spunky, determined and compassionate and she refuses to let Jacob wallow in his hurt and grief.Theirs is a friendship that grows to love and it is a very sweet, quick read.
