Brooke St. James writes the most amazing stories. This series about the Martin family is scrumptious and so sweet. Loved how she tied into the Hunt family. If you want the best couple of hours--read this book! By the way it is clean and wonderful!
OLIVIA TORRES and her sister Estella were well known from a blog they write and all the traveling that they do. They are known as Liv and Tel and they are always on the go and Liv is getting tired of all the traveling. She goes to see her father and meets Cole Martin from Louisiana and she loves in California still with her parents because she and her sister travel so much. She finds Cole very attractive and such a gentleman, she gets an invite to go to lunch with Cole her father and the lawyer for her dad's company. A very loving read of love at first sight between Cole and Liv you are sure to enjoy. Another great read from Brooke St. James.
As soon as I noticed there was now a second book to the sensational series, Martin Family, I just knew I had to have it. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, Loved Bayou. Such a beautiful well written story showing their strengths of true love, but this is a different story. This is Olivia's story.Her wealthy family who lived in Los Angeles that consisted with them working in real estate and retail throughout the whole of the USA. Olivia lived a happy life not having to worry about very much.Now that Olivia was already 24 years of age she just knew that she now wanted something more in her life. Maybe a new job. She knew she'd have to speak to her father about it.I loved this most amazing book. Such amazing characters throughout and such brilliant writing from Brooke St James. Another most delightful romance. I just loved it so much!
The book was very shallow and underdeveloped. I really didn't like the main character and her insecurities. How could a world traveler be that insecure with herself? A couple times I felt like I was reading a harlequin... A little too much if you know what I mean. There were multiple errors in spelling and word choice. I didn't agree with the way the relationship developed either. Just me, but I wouldn't read any others in the series based in this one.
This book is fairly simple. I don't know why I loved it, but I did. I know I loved that the main characters communicated like adults and there were no strange twists of plot. I loved that the book wasn't about what obstacles were overcome to be together but more about enjoying the journey.
Great second book featuring Cole Martin from Martin Family series. Cole works for his father's company Martin Outfitters, same as Alex from book 1. In this book we are introduced to Olivia Torres from the vlog Liv and Tel. Like all of Brooke St. James's books, this is a quick read with a story line just complex enough to keep you interested. Olivia's character is a little far fetched, as a lot of Brooke's female leads are, but in a way that fits well with the story line.
This was a relatively quick read but superbly written. The characters were well developed and realistic. I loved the Martin and Torres families both, in their own ways. Great work that is highly recommended.
This was such a fast and furious romance! However it was so sweet and well written!I have fallen in love with Brooke St. James writing style! She throws innocent humor in with real life and it is a winning combination! I can't wait to read more by her!!!!
