It wasn’t easy when you were of mixed blood back than when they thought Indians were lower than dirt. With Sarah being half white and half Indian life has not been very easy for her. With both of her parent dead the chief feels it is best for her to marry a soldier at the fort. Sarah doesn’t like this idea at all. She will not be trade off like a slave but wants to find a man who will love her like her parents had each other. She decides the best thing for her is to go it alone she travels to Cutter’s Creek where Estelle and Sam take her in and teach her how to do things to be able to live on her own. Bill comes home from serving in the Union Army he is finds out he doesn’t have a home anymore. Bill who is a Christian turns to God in his hour of need. When he comes across the most beautiful lady he has ever seen he knows she was made for him. But she is hiding something and her past is about to come knocking.The plot is full of mystery, kidnapping, suspense, all with some very intense times. The author gives you a lovely clean Christian base story with wonderful characters. It doesn’t take long at all for you to be hooked and loving this story. If you are looking for a clean enjoyable read with determinate characters who will not give up but turn to their faith this is the book for you.
I enjoyed this story that showed perseverance, determination, and faith. Sarah Songan was the child of a soldier and Indian. Both parents are deceased, and the chief feels it is best to marry Sarah off to a soldier at Fort Smith. She decides to strike out on her own rather than be traded off like a trinket. Her long journey eventually brings her to Cutter’s Creek, but she is being chased in the process by an evil man. Taken in by Estelle and Sam, she learns homemaking skills and helps by hunting wild game. Bill Hanover returned from serving in the Union army and turned away by his own family. Offered a temporary position, he finds himself working until his next position driving cattle. Bill is a Christian and turns to God often for help and guidance, and his prayer is to find a mate.The plot of the story kept me captivated with its mystery, suspense, intense moments, and a budding relationship, kidnapping and seeing how people put their faith in God. Sarah’s simple prayer was open, honest and full of faith. “God, please reveal yourself to me. I want to know you. If you’re real, show me.” Her faith and trust are how God wants all of us to come to Him.

She had me captured right from the start and did not let go till the end. After finding out the Chief offered Sarah in marriage to a soldier , she runs away. Running away and on foot is very dangerous for a woman. Bill Hanover is a lonely cowboy, he has been fighting in the war for four years. He is also alone. He meets the beautiful and mysterious Sarah in Cutter’s Creek . Sarah is hiding a secret. Will her past catch up with her?I was given a copy of this book by the author for my honest review.
Sarah is a strong female character who knows what she doesn't want. Refusing to marry a soldier to keep peace, she runs away. She attracts unwanted attention wherever she goes and is always on the move.Bill Hanover is a cowboy searching for something elusive until he meets Sarah. Then he knows exactly what he wants. But how can he get her to trust?Estelle and Sam are the sweet couple who take Sarah in and teach her acceptance, trust, and faith. Good people do exist and who want for nothing.This story was suspenseful and action-packed. Another great introduction to Cutter's Creek!
Sarah, half white & half crow Indian, has been promised to a soldier at the fort. she knows English and looks white enough to live in the white world so she runs away so she can define her own destiny. Standing in the way is Colt a bounty hunter hired by the tribe to bring her back. Bill, a God Fearing cowboy is enamored of her and will try hard to not let that happen. This story stresses Bills prayers helped keep her safe.
Welcome to Cutter's Creek. This is book two in the Cutter's Creek series and it is a wonderful story. An adventure with heartache, mystery and true love. Treat yourself to this series and enjoy these wonderful tales. Vivi is a new author to me but I plan to read more of her talented works in the future. Bill and Sarah's story continues in Vivi Holt's new book on sale now named Of Peaks and Prairies. Happy Reading
Her father is having her marry a man from the fort near them. He thinks this will help them. She runs away and like all romances she meets someone. He knows she has secrets, but will take time for her to trust him. I did enjoy this book.
What a grand experience I’ve had reading this book and getting to know the author. This book is a Christian clean read with not only a message of faith but a nice storyline. Sarah Songan is of mixed heritage with her mother being an Indian. After her mother died, it was decided by the Chief to give Sarah to one of the military men at a local Fort. No spoilers here but I can assure everyone that this is a story of strong belief in God and a nice afternoon read. Thanks for a good book. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
